1615 patients benefited from the immediate relief to address Covid-19 pandemic
Two months ago, thanks to the financial support offered by the Coca Cola Foundation, we managed to intervene with immediate help in combating COVID-19 for the medical system in the country.
“The money provided by the Coca Cola Foundation financed the purchase of medical equipment for the treatment of patients infected with COVID-19 from 4 hospitals – 2 for adults and 2 for children. When I visited the The Emergency Medicine Institute (where the equipment had already been used for a week ), the director of the medical institution, Dr. Ciocanu, informed us that during 7 days, already 110 patients infected with this virus have benefited from this high-performance device, thus improving and accelerating the chances of recovery. We are especially grateful for the equipment that also reached the children’s hospitals “, mentioned Liliana Rotaru, president of CCF / HHC Moldova.
However, the pandemic situation remains critical in our country. The number of infected cases is increasing, both among adults and children. In this regard, we continue to make every effort to communicate and encourage citizens to take all the measure to protect themselves. https://www.facebook.com/protectiesocialamoldova/posts/2984732471580664
The medical staff fights to the bitter end for every human life, and in this respect they need all our support. Four medical institutions from Chisinau received hematological analyzers, devices for detecting veins and a high-performance device for USG, thanks to our partnership with the Coca Cola Foundation. Thus, for two months, 1615 patients benefited from these devices, which contributed considerably to the quality of their treatments.
We believe that our mobilization, all together, must keep us united to the end, in the fight against this virus. And every citizen in the country should be aware that this struggle depends on each of us. Winners can only come out TOGETHER!
We can stop the spread of COVID-19 by following the announced measures. We can support the medical system through common partnerships. The philanthropic approach of the Coca Cola Foundation immediately came to respond to the challenges faced by hospitals during a pandemic, both in our country and in other countries of the world.
