225 people ran so that hundreds of children could go to school well equipped

For the fourth consecutive year, the Run for Children team mobilized in the name of disadvantaged children from our country. Even the pandemic could not stop us from breaking a new record – 225 participants, individual and corporate runners, entered the charity race “Challenge 2.7” – children independent of poverty. Run for Children is a charity sport event organized by the Association “Child, Community, Family” together with Iulian Bercu, the Ambassador of the organization, which this year aimed to urge people to run and donate in support of 270 children to have access to education. For 7 days, between August 20-27, the team of runners managed to accumulate 5,124 km under the slogan – Independent children of poverty.

An incredible human solidarity

This year, the Run for Children team stood out, young and old, with an incredible human solidarity, which proves that the power of the community is the catalyst for change. The run took place individually, accumulating from 2.7 km. Even the corporate teams of the eight partner companies organized their races for the employees, in such a way as to respect the imposed norms and sanitary conditions. In this sense, we had the support of Purcari Wines, Moldova Agroindbank, Be Travod, Wordminds, Premier Energy, Development Aid, Bizlaw and ERA (Efim Roșca Asociații). The employees of these companies participated with great enthusiasm in the race, being real examples of social responsibility.

“It’s more than a social initiative. It’s fun, relaxation and a virtual team building so that, in the end, we can all contribute to the fact that these 270 children have access to education “, says the President of CCF Moldova, Liliana Rotaru.

We also appreciate the support of the partners: Aimo Sport, Selik, Tucano Coffee and Purcari Wines.

These days, the Copil, Comunitate, Familie team also participates in a marathon by distributing school bags and school supplies in a timely manner.

Regardless of the race chosen and the result, all the runners from the Run for Children Team were and remain, for sure, the children’s SUPEREROES.
